The Blessed Day of the week [Yaomul Juma'ah (Friday)]
Today is another blessed day of the week,the day Muslims over the world always look forward to because of the blessings and barakah attached to it. The day of the week which our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized on the most which is Friday (Yaomul Juma'ah).
There are many rulings from the Hadith on what to do to earn reward on this day and also numerous benefits attached to it.
"Whoever reads Syrah al Kahf on the day of Juma'ah will have a light shine upon him from one. Friday to the next." (Al-Bayhaqi).
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al Khudri: Allah's Messenger PBUH said, "The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every male who has attained the age of puberty, and also the cleaning of his teeth with Siwak and the using of perfume if it is available". (Hadith Sahih al-Bukhari).
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger PBUH said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutbah), the angels close their books and present themselves to listen to the khutba (sermon). (Hadith Bukhari).
Narrated Salman Al Farsi: The Prophet PBUH said, "Whoever takes a bath on Friday,purifies himself as much as he can,then uses his (hair)oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds for the Juma'ah prayer and does not separate two sitting together in the mosque, then he prays as much as (Allah had) written for him and then remains silent while the Imaam is delivering the Khutbah, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven.
Prophet Muhammad PBUH said: "seek the hour in which there is hope that prayers will be answered on Friday after Asr' prayer (mid afternoon) until the sun goes down". (Hadith Tirmidhi).
There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim make Du'a in it,his Du'a will definitely be accepted.
