How to make your children pray on their own without arguments or reminders - Here's a narrative from a sister: My Daughter was 12 years old and prayer was like a heavy burden on her. So I told her to pray one day and I monitored her. She took the carpet and threw it on the ground. Why is EVERYTHING unislamic so appealing to the Ummah ? The sad reality is that even though many of us abstain from that which is prohibited, yet we still secretly love it. Why, why, why?  [Surat An-Nûr 24:31]  {وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ} النور: 31 Transliteration : wala yadribna biarjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinna Ibn Kathir in his interpretation of this verse: {And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment.} [Surat An-Nûr 24:31] has said that in the days of ignorance, if a woman was walking along the road, and that she was wearing a soundless anklet, she used to stamp the ground with her feet so that men would hear its sound; therefore, Allah has forbidden the believing women from doing such a thing. On the same line, if she was putting on a sort of hidden adornment and she made an action to show what is hidden; it is among that which is prohibited, because of the words of Allah Almighty: {And let them not stamp their feet.} [Surat An-Nûr 24:31]

     I woke up for Tahajjud salaat this morning... This post is not about how pious I am. I am not. I'm just like other Muslims around the world, trying to fulfill my obligations to my Creator. Some days I succeed. Some days I don't. But I keep on trying. I spent yesterday glued to the news about the massacre in Aleppo. I went through many emotions throughout the day; I felt angry and upset. I felt helpless and frustrated. I broke down and cried. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I sobbed - whether it was due to what I saw on the news and on social media, or whether it was due to my own impotence I don't actually know. Maybe it was a mixture of emotions that needed letting out. I over-discussed the days events with friends and family. We played the blame game. It was the Arab leaders at fault... ALHAMDULILLAH  evacuation  has been happening  all day. Please keep on making  dua.  Also make dua the shaitaans don't change their  minds. ALHAMDULILLAH, Today over 1500 civilians  have been evacuated  from east Allepo. This is a long process so we need to raise just cash. In sha ALLAH  some brothers are flying  out in a couple of  days. They will buy from Turkey and send to Syria  their and than. If we send from here it will take up to  6 weeks to get their. Roughly  80,000 people  will evacuated  in coming  days so they need food, medical and shelter. We are targeting  £80, 000 in 8 days. One pound per head in sha ALLAH which shouldn't be  difficult.
