WILL YOU JOIN ME IN PRAYER FOR THE SUFFERING UMMAH

I woke up for Tahajjud salaat this morning... This post is not about how pious I am. I am not. I'm just like other Muslims around the world, trying to fulfill my obligations to my Creator. Some days I succeed. Some days I don't. But I keep on trying. I spent yesterday glued to the news about the massacre in Aleppo. I went through many emotions throughout the day; I felt angry and upset. I felt helpless and frustrated. I broke down and cried. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I sobbed - whether it was due to what I saw on the news and on social media, or whether it was due to my own impotence I don't actually know. Maybe it was a mixture of emotions that needed letting out. I over-discussed the days events with friends and family. We played the blame game. It was the Arab leaders at fault... No it was Russia that's the problem ... it's the ruthless Syrian leadership...Iran was to blame! The day was spent over analyzing everything and it helped nothing. ...

FORGOTTEN SINS

One night Muhammad ibn al Munkadir was crying so violently that his family got extremely worried and called the great scholar Abu Hazim to calm him down. Abu Hazim RA asked him 'my brother what has made you cry so much, and you have made your family worry about you?' Muhammad RA replied 'I read an ayah in the book of Allah and it brought me to these tears' he was then asked what the ayah was. Muhammad responded, 'it is the statement in which Allah SWT says "And there will appear to them from Allah, that which they had not taken in to account.'' Upon hearing this ayah, Abu Hazim became so emotional that even he started crying. Wallahi when i JUST read this my eye began to swell as well despite my dark heart. Because the frightening thought of standing before Allah swt on the day of judgment thinking I have done da'wah, and prayed and read Qur'an that there will be no major sins on my scale on the day of judgment, .....and then suddenly sin...

Hadith of the Day

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:   The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Night prayer is offered as two rak`at followed by two rak`at and so on, and if you want to finish it, pray only one rak`a which will be witr for all the previous rak`at." Al-Qasim said, "Since we attained the age of puberty we have seen some people offering a three-rak`at prayer as witr and all that is permissible. I hope there will be no harm in it."  "‏ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَنْصَرِفَ فَارْكَعْ رَكْعَةً تُوتِرُ لَكَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ ‏"
